Stealth Bomber aluminum grips with black rubberized handle, genuine OEM throttle set

Premium Stealth Bomber aluminum grips, ready to order

On an electric bike, the throttle is the control your right hand holds for the whole ride. On a Stealth Bomber with up to 15,000W available, it also decides how smoothly that power reaches the ground.

Stealth Bomber aluminum grips give you a stable, durable throttle with the factory fit and wiring. Order now and our team will pack and dispatch your set so you can get back on the trail.

Why aluminum alloy on the throttle side

Aluminum alloy is stiff and strong for its weight, which is why it is so widely used for handlebars, levers and frames. In a throttle grip, that stiffness helps the housing keep its shape and the grip turn the same way every time you roll it.

Stealth Bomber aluminum grips use high-quality aluminum alloy for durability and handling stability. In practice, that means a throttle that feels solid and steady in your hand, and a housing that is better suited to the knocks that come with off-road riding.

A rubberized handle for steady control

The handle on the Stealth Bomber aluminum grips is black and rubberized, so your glove has something secure to hold. A rubberized surface helps you keep a consistent hand position over bumps and on long rides, which is exactly where small throttle movements matter most.

When the trail turns wet or muddy, a firm hold makes it easier to feed power in gently instead of in bursts. Steady inputs keep the rear tire hooked up when traction is low.

Throttle stability at higher power

The Stealth Bomber runs a 72V system with a Sabvoton 72V controller, motor options from 5,000W to 15,000W and top speeds from 43 to 80 mph, depending on the option. At the top of that range, a throttle that holds steady is a real advantage.

If you own one of the higher-power builds, Stealth Bomber aluminum grips are a natural match. Their focus on handling stability helps you hold an even throttle at speed and roll off smoothly before you reach for the Tektro hydraulic brakes.

The electrical connector is included

There is no separate plug to hunt for and no wires to splice. The Stealth Bomber aluminum grips include the electrical connector, so on a stock bike the new throttle connects to the existing harness where the old one unplugs.

Before ordering, follow your current throttle lead from the right grip to its plug and take a photo. If the plug has been changed from stock, send the photo to our team and we will check it with you. A quick fitment check now saves time later.

Fitment across Stealth Bomber builds

Stealth Bombers are ordered with different motors, batteries from 26Ah to 70Ah, three tire options, two seat options and three colors. Whichever options were chosen, the stock bike uses a twist-grip throttle on the right side of the bar. The right lever works the front brake and the left lever works the rear.

If your controls have been rearranged, your bars swapped or your wiring changed, reach out through our contact page before you buy Stealth Bomber aluminum grips. Our team will help you confirm the match.

Upgrading from the plastic grip set

We also sell plastic full twist grips for the same bike, the lighter, lower-cost OEM option. If you started on that set, the aluminum version is the natural step up when you want more from the throttle side of the bar.

What you gain with Stealth Bomber aluminum grips:

  • A housing made from high-quality aluminum alloy.
  • A black, rubberized handle for a secure hold.
  • A design focused on durability and handling stability.

What stays the same: genuine OEM parts, the full twist action and an electrical connector in the box. The upgrade is a straight swap on a stock bike, using the same steps you would follow for any throttle replacement.

Is the aluminum set worth the extra?

If you ride gently on smooth trails and want the lowest price, the plastic set covers you well. Stealth Bomber aluminum grips earn their premium when:

  • You ride a higher-power build and want the most stable throttle.
  • Your bike goes down now and then in rocks, roots or ruts.
  • You plan to keep the bike for the long haul and would rather fit a durable part once.
  • You like the feel of a rubberized handle under your glove.

Tick two or more of those boxes and the aluminum set is the one we would point you to.

When to replace your throttle grips

Slow return. If the throttle hesitates before it snaps back to closed, or stays partly open, stop riding and replace it. A throttle that does not close is a safety risk.

Crash damage. A cracked or bent housing, or one that has shifted on the bar, will not hold a steady position. Replacing it with Stealth Bomber aluminum grips puts a tougher housing in the same spot.

Erratic power. Surging or cutting out as you roll the grip can point to a worn throttle or a damaged lead. If you are not sure which, our team can help you narrow it down.

Worn handle. A torn or polished grip surface makes it harder to hold a small, steady opening, especially with gloves on. The rubberized handle on new Stealth Bomber aluminum grips restores a secure hold.

Genuine OEM or aftermarket?

A throttle is part of your bike’s control system, not just a handle. Here is why we recommend a genuine part over a generic one.

Before you pick up a wrench

Switch the bike off, take out the key and follow your owner’s manual to disconnect the battery. The throttle talks directly to a 72V controller, so the system must be dead before you unplug anything. Support the bike on a sturdy stand on level ground.

The throttle directly controls the bike’s power, so have a qualified mechanic fit Stealth Bomber aluminum grips if you are unsure about any part of the job.

Workshop checklist

  • Hex keys in the sizes your owner’s manual lists for the throttle and lever clamps
  • A torque wrench for the final tightening
  • A screwdriver, if your bar ends need one
  • Side cutters and a handful of zip ties
  • A clean rag and isopropyl alcohol for the handlebar
  • Thread locker, but only where the manual calls for it
  • Your phone, to photograph the controls before you start

Installing Stealth Bomber aluminum grips step by step

  1. Power down: switch off, pull the key and disconnect the battery.
  2. Photograph the right-hand controls from the front and the top so you can match the throttle and brake lever positions later.
  3. Follow the throttle lead to its connector, snip the zip ties and unplug it.
  4. Take off the bar end if fitted, back off the throttle clamp and ease the old unit off the end of the bar.
  5. Wipe the bar clean with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry.
  6. Slide on the new aluminum throttle grip and set its position and angle to match your photos.
  7. Leave a small gap between the grip and the bar end, and between the housing and the brake lever clamp, so nothing binds as the grip turns.
  8. Tighten the clamp to the torque in your owner’s manual with a torque wrench.
  9. Replace the left grip at the same time if you are doing both sides.
  10. Run the new lead along the original route, plug in the connector and hold the lead in place with new zip ties.
  11. Reconnect the battery and move on to the function test.

Setting the grip angle for comfort

Before the final tighten on your Stealth Bomber aluminum grips, sit on the bike in your normal riding position. Your right wrist should be fairly straight when you hold the grip and cover the brake lever. Rotate the throttle housing slightly if the brake lever clamp gets in the way.

Small changes here make a big difference on long rides. Once it feels right, tighten the clamp to the torque in your owner’s manual and recheck that the brake lever still has full travel.

Function test on the stand

Once the Stealth Bomber aluminum grips are fitted, keep the key off, then roll the throttle open and release it several times. Test it three ways: bars pointing straight ahead, turned fully left and turned fully right. It should return to closed briskly every time and never hang.

Then, with the rear wheel lifted clear of the ground, switch on and open the throttle a little. You want a smooth pickup from the motor and a clean stop the moment you release the grip. Any delay means switching off and checking the fitting again.

Low-speed shakedown ride

Your first ride on Stealth Bomber aluminum grips should be slow and short, in a safe, open area with no traffic. Feel for a smooth pickup, make sure both brakes work as normal and confirm the grip stays put on the bar.

Recheck the clamp and connector when you get back. Want to keep building your skills? The American Motorcyclist Association is a good place to find rider resources and organized riding.

Looking after Stealth Bomber aluminum grips

Clean Stealth Bomber aluminum grips with mild soap and water and a soft brush, then dry them with a cloth. Skip harsh solvents and tire shine on the rubberized handle, as they can leave it slippery.

Look over the aluminum housing after any fall. Scuffs are cosmetic, but a crack or a housing that has moved on the bar means it is time to reset or replace it.

Keep the lead and connector healthy

When a throttle fault is not in the grip itself, the lead is a common place to look. Every few rides, check where the lead passes the steering head for rubbing or pinching, and make sure the zip ties are holding without crushing it.

Keep the connector out of a direct pressure-washer blast. If it ever looks corroded or loose, unplug it with the bike powered down, inspect it and contact our team if anything looks damaged.

Storing the bike between rides

Store the bike indoors or under a cover, away from strong sun, which ages the rubberized handle on Stealth Bomber aluminum grips over time. Park it where the bars cannot swing into a wall, another bike or a workbench.

If the bike will sit for a while, follow your owner’s manual for battery storage, and check the throttle return before the first ride back.

Parts to pair with Stealth Bomber aluminum grips

A smooth throttle works hand in hand with reliable brakes. If you are working at the bars anyway, it is a good time to look over the rest of the bike. These genuine parts fit the Stealth Bomber:
